Here It Is Now

Remember the drive from earlier this month (see Wait For It). Well, here it is now.

Such Colour

There is such colour at the moment. Unlike Autumn with its subtle shades, this is in-your-face-stuff.

Dry, dry, dry

It is so long since we have had any rain. This was a surging stream earlier this year.

Jean's Garden

A night out with Jean and a tour around her wonderful garden.

Squatters - in the shape of Alexander - take over my room for what seems like days in order to complete a biology essay.

The buds on the trees are enormous. Spring is bursting through. It is a magical time.

The Look

How can an animal look at you with such meaning?

Is It The Colour?

Not sure why I felt compelled to take this photograph. There is something about it. Is it, perhaps, the colour?

Ilkley Public Library

A day out takes me to Ilkley where the magnificent facade of the Public Library catches my eye.

Trampoline Test

Our new garden trampoline arrived today. Here is Xan carrying out a post-installation trial.

Here They Come

The first bluebells of the season are beginning to appear.

New houses are going up on all sides around our little local wood. It is a form of creeping encroachment.

The Good Earth

Another sign of Spring. the earth being prepared for planting.

Wait For It

This drive, just down the road from where I live, is about to burst into bloom. I will return to the scene in a couple of weeks time.

Sign Of The Times

At some stage over the last few weeks all these new route signs have suddenly appeared in the woods like an outcrop of plastic mushrooms.

Luxuriant Growth

A luxuriant growth of something or other appeared on the trees this morning. Spores carried on the wind? A new version of Day of the Triffids?

Jane Of The Moors

And here's Jane - in birdwatching mode - miles from civilisation, alone on the moors.

Walking The The Pennine Way

On Sunday, we walked the Pennine Way (well, about 250 yards of it)

Edwin Ponders Numbers

Edwin, deeply involved in his daily battle with the Sudoku grid.

The Balcony Used (2)

... and used.

The Balcony Used (1)

And once finished, it had to be used.

The Balcony Finished

It wasn't all laziness. The painting of the balcony has taken up a big part of my life over the last week. Sad, isn't it.

The Guilty Party

There has been a long gap since the last posting. Not because I haven't been taking photos, but because I have been too lazy to post them. Here is the guilty party, taken by ... it must have been Xan.

Shape and Profile

One of my favourite local scenes at the moment. There is something about the shape and profile which I like.

Select Question

So what exactly is select about it?
