Miss March

I am currently working on my 2008 man-hole cover calendar. I think this might be March.

Vintage Halifax

This is Halifax about the same vintage as yesterdays' photograph.

Long, Long Ago

A period of photographic inactivity this weekend prompts me to reach back into the archives. Issy and Janie, long, long ago. When we were all young.

Half a Gate

This new gate has been installed at the entrance of the local crematorium. It comes complete with lock and all the trimmings. But it only extends half way across the opening. No doubt there is a reason.

Sad Badger

The pub down the road seems to be going the same way as endless others. A sad badger indeed.

Stupid Grin

Bought some new batteries but have not had the time to fit them yet. Thus, in punishment, here is a photograph of ... well I think that is me on the left but I am not sure. That certainly seems to be my brother on the right.

Flat Battery

Still no new battery so back to a photograph I took a couple of days ago.

London Bridge Has Fallen Down

Down to London for a meeting today but camera battery ran out so I have to revert to a picture taken when I was in London last month.

Clear The Air

Late walk this evening, but the air was clear and you could see for miles.

Almost Want To Eat It

It looks so lush and green and fresh you almost want to eat it.

This seems to go back thirty or forty years, although it was taken less than six hours ago.

Emerging Ghosts

Strange one today. Whilst walking through the Crem in the fog and the snow a ghost-like undertaker emerges from behind some trees.

Here At Last

It's been a long time coming and we have been warned repeatedly over the last few days. But here it is at last.

Means and Ends

Shocked to find a planning application nailed to the entrance of this woodland today. The plan is to cut it down and replace it with a new Children's Hospice. However worthy the end result, is the means justified?

I am getting a little obsessed with this pylon. I have photographed it several times now. But it is impressive. Pylonic - that should be a word.

Rear For Sale

A strange offer spotted on our morning walk today.

Port Meadow

Sunday morning walk on Port Meadow. Glorious weather. Clear skies, sun, not a breath of wind. College rowers practice on the river. Memorable.

Oxford Developments

Oxford for the weekend. Jane and Edwin outside their new development.

It is not just the walls. I found this sprouting out of the side of a tree today.

Day Of The Algae

It must be something to do with the warm damp weather. All the walls are turning green. It's like Chapter 1 of Day of the Triffids!
