1450 : Plan B for Boating Lake

I am not sure where this boating lake is. The rest of the photographs on the negative strip were taken in London, so it may be somewhere in the capital. A few years before it was taken my job involved planning for the evacuation of London schoolchildren in the event of tidal flooding of the River Thames. I seem to recall that schools were put in contact with local parks that had boating lakes and rowing boats - just in case. Thank goodness for the Thames Barrier is all I can say.

Do you remember the tiny ones where you'd take your foot long wooden sailing boat?
