1387 : Sculptured Icing Sugar

SCULPTURED ICING SUGAR
Many of the buildings in Madrid made me think of sculptured icing sugar. Whole streets were like show-stopper challenges in some giant version of The Great British Bakeoff. If you could find a sharp enough knife and cut into them, there would probably be a rich fruit cake inside.

The circular curved decoration under the windows are entirely a new feature for me to see. The square overhangs are added everywhere on classic buildings but the sculpted curve is so great. That building looks Spanish because of the balconies but otherwise I would think of it as in Spain. I do want to go get some white cake with frosting to eat very soon.
