1351 : The Waves Of Inquisitiveness

Bradford is a long way from the sea. Once a school, then a home for the Sea Cadets, this building in Faversham Street is a long way from its prime. Boarded-up doors and barred windows hold back the waves of the over-inquisitive.

I was a Sea Cadet as a kid, with the training 'ship' called the TD Marshal Soult. I always wondered why a Sea Cadet TS was named after a French Marshal of France in the Grande Armee.

That should have been TS, not TD.
