1284 : Vistas As Filling As A Three Course Lunch

BRUNSWICK STREET, HALIFAX (c.1968)

There was something grand about streets like Brunswick Street. If you had a door why not add a portico? If you have a tower why not attach a cupola? Streets that were interesting to walk down, vistas that were as filling as a three course lunch. It's gone now - a demolition pattern in the shadow of a flyover.

Never been to Halifax but I love this view and architecture. Had a rough week, so haven't visited a lot of places.

An architecture that says by faith AND works.

An the portico needs another decoration and then you have to add to the next decoration. A ball at the very top of it all is like the period at the end of the sentence.
