1182 : Trooping The Monochrome

2014.0712.14 :  Trooper Lane, Halifax  Circa 1988
Trooper Lane is said to take its name from the time of the English Civil War when troops would use the lane to avoid passing through the notorious dirty and disease-ridden town of Halifax.

Great old mono shot, they don't make road surfaces like that any more - murder when they are wet.

This shot must have been taken long before 1988. The cooling towers, demolished in the mid-1970s, can still be seen. Good shot, though.
