1081 : So Long Marianne On Gog Hill

The answer to the Leonard Cohen question was, of course, So Long Marianne:
Your letters they all say that you're beside me now.
Then why do I feel alone?
I'm standing on a ledge and your fine spider web
Is fastening my ankle to a stone.
Now so long, Marianne, it's time that we began ...
So today we say so long to her on Gog Hill in Elland, photographed some 30 years ago.

Oh no, I love that song, how could I not have that particular line engraved in my memory, it must be something to do with resonance, I know I hear some lines in songs 'more' than other lines (if you know what I mean), with this one I'd still be thinking on 'why do I feel so alone?', that I hadn't even got to the ankle and the stone part. How shocking, I shall listen with more attention in future. I must be missing tons of good stuff :(.
Another wonderfully atmospheric shot, and I'm intrigued by the architecture of the street light.
