1041 : Shaw Lane Then

I took this photograph in Shaw Lane, Halifax, back in the late 1960s or early 1970s. At the time Holdsworth's Shaw Lodge Mills were still producing textiles and as you walked down the cobbled streets you could hear the machines clattering away. Tomorrow I will return to this scene as it appears now.

I'm guessing it will be nearly the same look! But surprise us! I feel something interesting brewing here!

Strong shot of the 'old' north. This kind of shot just does not work the same in colour. If you take the next shot in colour it will be interesting to contrast not only the changes that may have happened, but the strength of the image.
