1036 : Before Supermarkets Ruled The World II


This photograph was taken at the bottom of Woolshops, Halifax, back in the 1960s. Behind the cart you can see the New Talbot Inn which was demolished in 1979 when the whole area was redeveloped. Where the cart once stood you can now find the usual retail suspects.

It really is amazing to see how an entire area can be cleared with no evidence of the past. The cart is really neat but I bet not to easy to pull around. It is a great black and white.
