The Meteorological Office has forecast snow for later today. But it won't be real snow; it will be half-baked twenty-first century stuff, too thin to spread on a slice of toast. Now back in the 1980s we got real snow, layer upon layer of the stuff. I took this picture outside our house in Oxford Street, Sheffield. I would like to claim that it was the path outside our house that had been cleared with such care, but alas, it was the next door neighbour.
