Arms And The Man

Next negative on, and there is the lad again and the question of whether he is really arm-less can be solved. What childhood experience, what schoolroom admonishment caused him forever more to run around with his hands clasped tightly behind his back. And before anyone else suggests it, can I say it surely wasn't playing with matches. Was it?

One needs to be careful of standing within loops of fire hose. Should the hose suddenly fill with water at high pressure, a loop could take your leg off as it unloops! Nearly had it happen to me.

CB : That is obviously why the lad is keeping his arms carefully ticked away.

I have no idea, unless he just like to expose his shirt.

Looks like he remembered the admonition.

Aw, I just want to bring him home! I'm thinking that these days those little lads wouldn't get anywhere hear the fire or the hoses - there'd be someone officious with some tape, cordoning it all off.

Maybe he experienced the "strap" at school on a regular basis......
