Yorkshire View

Old Mill Lane, Thurgoland
After a perfect Christmas Day with friends, we took a walk on Boxing Day morning. There was something about this arrangement of stone walls, angular buildings and snow covered fields that was so Yorkshire.

That's a cracking shot... as you say - typical Yorkshire. Hope you enjoyed your Christmas lunch.

Typical Yorkshire on a grey day, those dark stone Walls; grim up 't north. Those Walls always make for a good shot.

Yorkshire in (almost) black and white. I remember being fascinated, my first winter up here, by the way the stone looks almost etched across the snow.

Looks a bit like Lancashire too - and parts of Cornwall.

I'm going to have to find some old "All Creatures" episodes to get a proper Yorkshire fix now. Either that, or buy me a Yorkie Terrier!

P.S. I'll call it Alan!

That is one classy shot that you took here. I like the stone wall in the foreground and the background is wonderful.
