TEN : 2000 - Porto, Portugal

According to my calculations there are now ten days left before I go on holiday. On my computer I have stored my digital holiday pictures from the last ten years. So, as a count-down to my forthcoming holiday, I intend to give you a holiday photograph from each of those years. Today's picture was taken in 2000 during a visit to Porto in Portugal.

OK don't make me read a month full of posts, where are you off to then? I'm already thinking about the next one!

I'm going to enjoy your countdown, Alan. I really like today's picture, it reminds me of the old tenement buildings in London ... washing everywhere.

Val : I don't know why, but I am always attracted to such scenes. Probably images of my youth working their way through to the surface.

Great photo Alan..
Yes,if it had been a grainy black and white, would have been London.
Elephant and Castle?

Geraldgee : Indeeed, a bit of light and a bit of colour make the difference between Heckmondwyke and Honolulu.

I never lived where clothes hung out like this. We lived in a house and strung our clothes on a clothes line behind the house.

I like the urgent look of the clutter. As if the person was in a hurry to hang things out so it would get dry in time.

It is a marvelous shot. I am sure the curious things that add to all of the composition just drew you in and the color is so wonderful.
I am so behind on reading posts that as you count down I also will be searching backwards for older posts.
