In Search Of The Black Swan

I am looking through my old negatives for a picture of the Black Swan pub in Brighouse. So far I haven't found one, but the search itself is fascinating. This picture of Brighouse dates from the late 1960s and shows the River Calder to the east of the town centre.

Keep looking for that pub, Alan, and show us more treasurers on the way.

This is a great photo, I think the miserly weather makes it even more interesting. Anyway, looking for old shots we come up with something different we have not thought about. I hope you find the Swan, I am sure there is a nice pub shield hanging in front of it and it won't be an ugly duckling! Cheers T.

It is quite an interesting shot. The 60's seem like a long time ago. I like all that shows the weather and the character at the time in the area.
