That's very effective - I like the blank space at the bottom. It somehow emphasises the pattern in the picture.

I just finished reading the book *Remarkable Creatures* which takes place in Lyme Regis - about 200 years ago! There's probably little similarity between the appearance then and now, and there probably aren't many fossils left, either. What a wonderful photograph!
