A Wet Weekend

Outside it is dark. It is wet. It is cold. It is miserable. I have just calculated that I am now at the midpoint between my last holiday and my next. If ever I was wanting to recall those glorious beaches of Nicaragua, it is now. We will be going away for a few days next week, but if the weather continues like it is at the moment it will be, a somewhat ended, wet weekend.

Know how you feel; Italy in a week and Namibia in October. Itchy feet.

Here in Georgia, we are at 91F at 1 p.m. with very high humidity. It makes working in the garden difficult except for early in the morning or late in the evening. I hope you will have nice weather for travel Alan.

I'm sure the time will fly to your next holiday. Its tornado and a continuous deluge here.

I must confess that I thought global warming had hit Great Britain. The palm trees looked a little out of the way from your climate. I remember when I was teaching school and the year would be bad, I would have a flash in my mind about going to Minnesota and be on the lake shore. Hang in there, or up the date for another vacation.

Alan, you will have to think of a holiday in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan some summer..you would love it on the shores of Lake Superior!
