Splicing The Yardarm


Still in Weymouth and focusing in on that sailing ship you can see in yesterday's photograph. This shot shows a couple of nautical types splicing the yardarm or climbing the mainbrace ... or something or other.

Magnificent shot, Alan. As you know, I love boats... but nautical language defeats me. If I was up there on the ropes (?) I would definitely be dicing with death.

Anchors away? I would have loved to learn to sail, I think perhaps it is a craft that one should learn as a child. :)
