The Tree Of Life

Amy and I came across this tree on our walk yesterday. It is old, gnarled and looks as if it might have seen too much of the world. The trunk seems a little too full and there is evidence of dead wood in the most alarming places. But still the returning Spring is tempting it back to life for another season. Or maybe two. Or maybe more. "Reminds me of you", my dog said to me. Well I think that is what she said.

It's a beautiful tree. Full of wisdom and stories and perfect to pee against (well if Amy was a bloke).

Does it play chess and drink whisky? If so, then the resemblance is perfect.

Patiacr in fact.

Amy has so many talents. The trees know stuff, more than we will ever know.

It's probably got leaves on it today... The difference one day of sunshine has made is amazing. I'll swear there was no blossom anywhere yesterday and today there are pink trees all over the place! (I'm not complaining though.)

Your dog is a smart ass. ha
The tree (like you, I am sure!) has a LOT of character and history...I just love those big trees!

The neighbor's pear tree was bare, almost, on one day and the next it was covered in white blossoms.

I am surprised to see such an old tree.

I suppose it is an oak of some sort
But I never know what it will be,
If it hits me on the head. The tree.

I believe you. Animals talk. This photo just fills my eyes, which is the greatest compliment I can give.
