100312 Building Sandwich

The island of Curaçao is a magical place full of fine Dutch-style buildings painted with a Van Gogh palette. Looking across the harbour, the line of buildings almost makes a man-made filling for a sandwich of sky and sea.

Great colours in the buildings and the sky. I'd be tempted to crop out some of the water in the foreground, but then that detracts from the 'sandwich' idea; horses for courses.

What a marvelous batch of color. That would be so great to visit. You did get to see a variety of such beautiful places. Looked like a fun place to see.

Beautiful scene there across the water.

The horizon is straight - so you obviously didn't imbibe much of the local liqueur.

Wonderful photo.

I have always loved what you called the Van Gogh palette of the Mediterranean houses.

Even tried to get the powers that be to use those colors on all the doors of the condo's in my complex. Of course they refused.
