091203 The Train And The River


During my visit to Shibden Park earlier this week I went to see the miniature railway which has been there since I was a young man. The line still crosses over the little river which later feeds the boating lake. It is out of season and therefore there was no trains to see. I must return in the Spring.

i love the pictures you share here, especially the picture of your mom and dad at the Poole Harbour in Dorset. It gives a nice heartwarming reminisce feel like one would expect to catch a whiff of cottage apple pies.. ;) (Perhaps in the picnic basket somewhere? :)

my son still loves the miniature railway at shibden park our is it me regards John
ps the coffe shop attached to shibden hall is a great view point to the park always brings back happy memory.s when we go down there even in winter
