091129 Sodden Soup

Everything around here is soaking wet. Rather than being crisp and faded, the fallen leaves form a kind of sodden soup. This tree was felled by the local Council a couple of weeks ago having been damaged in the strong winds we had earlier in the month.

I love the sodden soup, Alan. I love what you 'see' through the lens. Puts a new perspective on the the subject and always gets me thinking.

You had to make me look it up. I have been around sodden situations before but I didn't call them such a nice word. I will add that one to my vocabulary and see what the rest of the world thinks about it. I hope it stops raining soon for you over there.

We wish we had some more rain. It will be a while before we have anything more sodden than you have. Our weather is cold, below freezing actually, but not much in the way of precipitation.
