091127 The Riverhead

I took this picture yesterday out of the upstairs window of the Riverhead Brewery Tap in Marsden. At the time I was enjoying an excellent rib-eye steak and a pint of real ale which was brewed downstairs in the micro-brewery. The picture was taken to record the high water levels where the two rivers meet just outside the pub. But in reality it records a very pleasant lunch with my mate Albert.

Glad you guys had a nice lunch. I have heard about the floods over there. None here where we live and for that I am thnkful.

But, we do have cold temperatures.
-2.7 degrees. I had to plug the electric cord in to thaw out the water in the birds water dish. It was froze solid.

I first thought of the landscapes that the Impressionists painted. The leaves on the trees are faint and soft. Your terrain really is similar to other areas in Europe.
I am jealous of the ribeye steak. That sounds like it would be a great lunch with friends and a pint. Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

It actually looks peaceful, even though the sky was a trifle grey. What a gorgeous place to meet a mate. Mmmm glad you enjoyed the ribsteak.
