You're right, Alan - it does capture the spirit of bonfire night. Guy Fawkes and bonfire night was my favourite day/night of the year when I was a child. My parents made it so exciting for us. I love to see pics of bonfires and hear of people enjoying bonfire night...
I agree, it really sets the mood. As a child in England, I remember my Grandparents piling wood for the bonfire...so many year ago!Sunny :)
Here in this country and in most cities and towns hereabout it is illegal to have a bonfire or to burn anything without a prior written permit issued by the city or community where you live. You can build a small bonfire, though, to roast hot dogs or weiners.
I like the warm glow and warm feelings that come from this picture.

The glow makes it look like the real thing. I think it captures the true feeling of being there. A bonfire would be a lot of fun this time of the year. I am a sugar freak so I would need marshmellows.
