091109 Bonfire Night

The Annual Atkin Bonfire Night on Saturday. The photograph is out of focus and poorly composed. But somehow it captures the spirit of bonfire night. It reminds me of a most enjoyable evening - what more could you want from a photograph.

You're right, Alan - it does capture the spirit of bonfire night. Guy Fawkes and bonfire night was my favourite day/night of the year when I was a child. My parents made it so exciting for us. I love to see pics of bonfires and hear of people enjoying bonfire night...

I agree, it really sets the mood. As a child in England, I remember my Grandparents piling wood for the bonfire...so many year ago!

Here in this country and in most cities and towns hereabout it is illegal to have a bonfire or to burn anything without a prior written permit issued by the city or community where you live. You can build a small bonfire, though, to roast hot dogs or weiners.

I like the warm glow and warm feelings that come from this picture.

The light on their bodies definitely makes it feel warm in front of the fire...
I like your blog's new header and look, great job!

The glow makes it look like the real thing. I think it captures the true feeling of being there. A bonfire would be a lot of fun this time of the year. I am a sugar freak so I would need marshmellows.
