091020 Cutting Out The Middle Man


Taking a picture of Autumn leaves today I decided to cut out the middle man (the camera). So I put the leaf in the scanner and ...

Keep meaning to try this - must be loads of possibilities. Have you seen the lovely scanned flower prints that David Hockney's sister Margaret does? By the way, thanks for your lovely comment on my blog - I enjoy yours too.

That is a cool idea. I have an image in my mind of a cartoon where there is man standing over his scanner holding an empty basket. He has just dumped a bushel of leaves on top of the scanner and you can hard see it among the leaves. And his wife says, what are you up to now???? Taking pictures and eliminating the middle man.

That is a good idea. Scan things. Do you have the television commercial over there where the boss asks the man if he has receipts for his dinner and he said, "Can I scan my butt?" And he turns around and shows his behind to the boss who looks surprised and says, "OK." It is one of those duh things that surprised me.
