090921 Respect It

This piece of "public graffiti was on an underpass wall in Halifax. Actually I quite like it but such things do tend to encourage others to add their comments. And that defeats the object of the enterprise.

It is an urge to become known, the lonely artist seeking a pat on the head and not a whack on the rear end. It is something kids do but adult adults don't. I suppose the latter has more to lose in fines.

Nice post of a good looking piece of public art.

Thanks for visiting my Pick a Peck of Pixels blog.

I wonder what it will look like in a few months.

I know it's 'vandalism', but if I see any and I have a camera to hand, I usually take a shot. It can be very effective. It's interesting that this guy's message is respect, but that obviously excludes the wall he has used as his canvas; ah well.
