090911 Woodland Cottages

There is a walk I take Amy the dog on several times a week which takes us through the woods and then out into semi-open countryside. As you emerge from the woods there is a row of cottages which are quite isolated. On one side are the woods and on the other some fields and more woods. Why they were built on this spot - a fair distance from the road - I don't know but I always find them quite beautiful.

It looks like a perfect English setting. Our pbs gives an opportunity to see a lot of scenes from your country via the detective shows. Your whole country has always been a place of interest. I will visit there sometime before I die. Great photo, and lucky dog to get to walk.

They are beautiful and remind me very much of houses in Cornwall. What a lovely spot to walk.

You're lucky living within walking distance of idyllic scenery. I'm live quite close to fields and woods but do have to use the car to get there. I fancy living in a house like the one in your picture.

They are indeed beautiful.

I do agree with Mr. Burgus, I your country has always been a place of interest for me as well. I have always read every British novel and watched every British TV program I could get my hands on.

Unlike Mr. Burgus, I can not assume that I will visit one day. I am quite certain that will not happen. But one can always hope.

I find your photo not only beautiful but a reaffirmation of some of the mental images I have taken from the books I have read.

I guess they were workers' cottages at one time. Agricultural or local mining?

Nice setting. I can imagine how the walk would be.
