090901 Heald Moor

My son, Alexander, and I went up into the hills above Todmorden this morning in search of adventure and in search for a post for Theme Thursday this week (you will find the resulting post on the News From Nowhere site on Thursday). This picture was taken at the beginning of the adventure and nicely shows the way in which the the green fields suddenly become the brown moors.

It is still a beautiful landscape, brown and all. This is all so interesting to me, I love to see all of your countryside My son married into a Welsh family, Wardwell. I want to find out more about them, but they have never left Maine since they came from over seas.
