090824 Vibrant

As we were sat enjoying a cup of tea in the garden of our good friends M&C yesterday, I glanced up and saw so many shades of brown, green and yellow in the trees that I had to get my camera and try to record the scene. The picture doesn't do it justice. But if ever you had wanted a visual definition of the word "vibrant", you should have been in that garden yesterday.

Remember how in infants school you'd draw a tree and colour the trunk brown and the 'bushiness' of the leaves in green?

My, we've come a long way. Colours aren't as they seem. Isn't it great to look - really look and actually see?

Reminds me that autumn is on it's way, Alan. Lovely garden... I love those colours.

I can see how you were able to see so many different layers of color and textures. Some of those leaf shapes I am not so sure I am familiar with. I have more gourd pictures for your tomorrow. I really like the photo with all the vales of green. Take care.

August and part of September in Missouri is normally very hot, humid and lazy. Not this year. Their is already the look, smell and feel of fall.

The days are cooler then normal and the nights down right chilly. Leaves are starting to fall and color is popping out everywhere. The mild weather has the people out in the parks and hiking trails in droves.

Oh! how I fear what this harks for our winter this year.

We will probably be snowed in by November.
