A Pint of Lager And A Packet Of Bricks

The best of my old photographs are the ones which capture a moment, freeze a process of transition. Thus buildings being built or demolished or markets selling apples at 6d a pound all capture something which was soon to vanish. And so, I am afraid, will this picture which I took earlier today. The Ash Brow, like so many others, will soon vanish to be replaced by apartments and parking spaces. Sad, sad, sad.
