Woolly Puzzle

This is from yesterday. High up on the side of the Wool Exchange in Bradford. But who is it?

A Large Gaping Gap

Passed through Bradford today. What used to be the centre of the city is now a large gaping gap. The challenge will be building something here which can stand alongside those glorious mills in the background.

Seaside Drive

Just opened one of my old photo albums at random for this. Seem to recall that it was Cleethorpes. Must be thirty or forty years ago.

Fruit Gums

I have no idea why, but this picture makes me think of a tube of Rowntrees Fruit Gums.

Snow From A Train Window

First real interesting weather of the year and the best I can do is to photograph it from the window of a train en-rout to London. By the return journey the snow was all gone (as possibly were my chances of being appointed to the post I was being interviewed for). But that's another story..

Frozen Solid

After the overnight frost, the ground is frozen solid. This is a welcome change from the Flanders-like fields of mud that Amy (the dog) and I have experienced over the last few weeks.

Sharp Green

Bitterly cold this morning but the cold makes everything so sharp. And the recent rain has left the grass the kind of green you want to capture using your Photoshop eye-dropper tool and keep for future use.

Blues and Greens

And this is from a couple of weeks ago. Looking down from Huddersfield Golf Course towards the south.

The Starting Post

This is from a few years ago. One of those wonderful seaside games : throw balls through holes to make the horses move.

Water and Wind

The water level is ever-rising. However, by the time we get some really interesting weather I am too busy catching flying trampolines to take any photographs.

Not So Big Wheel

Big Wheels tend to be far more popular today than in the past. This one (taken some 25 years ago) was (and may still be) in Cleethorpes.

A Change In the Weather

Today is clear, bright, and very, very cold. A change in the weather is on the way.

Shadows and Light

Joni Mitchell has a song : "Shadows and Light". I have always thought it must be about Bill Brandt. If BB had walked with me through the crem today he would have been taken by this.

Amy

Seem to be falling behind with my postings. This was Amy during my "blurd period".

A Halifax Long Gone

Reaching way back into the archives today - forty years or more - to see a Halifax that is long gone.

Sheep

Still in my blurd phase. Need to join a focus group.

Goalmouth Incident

Back on my feet today in time for a rare visit to watch Wednesday. The photo was blurred but so was the action.

Porto Rooftops

Still grounded, so back to the archives. Porto this time. Sometime late in 2000.

A Tile From Portugal

I have damaged my achilles tendon - so I have not been out today. Thus I need to dip into the archives. This photo was taken about six years ago : some house tiles in Portugal.

Drop In Anytime!

Today's walk took me past this curious house. An accident waiting to happen.

Storm Clouds, Dorchester Road

An easy start to the year. I had only walked 20 yards when I saw the branches of a tree caught by the winter sun.
